A vast range of subjects may be studied at evening classes in Leighton Linslade. Most courses are provided by Bedfordshire County Council but there are many others provided by local colleges or private individuals
Bedfordshire Adult and Community
Learning Service
Bedfordshire County Council provide hundreds of classes covering all types
of subjects. These are held in local schools and colleges and usually start in
September (not all are in the evening).
The fees for these courses vary depending on the subject and course length,
special rates are available for those not in full time employment.
The courses cover a wide range of subjects including computing, handicrafts,
languages plus the opportunity to catch up with the subjects you did not pass at
school. A brochure is usually published in the summer detailing all
the local courses this information is also sometimes printed in the local press.

The
Learning Shop - Leighton Buzzard
The Learning Shop in Linslade is a very popular IT learning centre,
particularly with the over 50's. They provide courses for absolute beginners in
computing.
The Learning Shop is one of the IT learning centres in Bedfordshire run by
Tektra, in partnership with Dunstable College.
The centre specialises in IT training, including, Word Processing,
Spreadsheets, Database, Internet, Email
and have excellent facilities including 50 student PC's.
